Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Air of Malaise – stArt Gallery Exhibition
Air of Malaise is co-curated by Lilly Reed and Hilary Hansford from works in the John P. Anderson Collection of Student Art, honoring its 30th anniversary and as a part of the gallery’s stArt.yourself program of student-organized exhibitions. The exhibition brings together works highlighting the connection between amorphous anxiety, trauma and their relation to where they are held in the body, placing each work in dialogue with one another as the art and artists of the collection have developed over time since 1993. Air of Malaise is derived from themes of disembodied anxiety, pressure, and unconscious tension. START Gallery, 122A Reynolda Village
Friday and Saturday: 7:30 p.m. WFU Theatre: The Three Sisters – One of Anton Chekhov’s most celebrated plays, illustrates his brilliance at portraying human beings as they really are. Intricately woven relationships, fiery passions, and dreams of a different future shape the lives of three women living on the cusp of the fall of Russian aristocracy. Purchase your tickets from the Box Office. Scales Fine Arts Center, Tedford Stage
